    Perspective..

Watching earlier,Sheffield United have a deficit of eighty four million Quid. One of the oldest football teams in the world. Currently playing in the second tier of their countries league, similar to our situation. Can anyone ever imagine ANY team in this league of ours EVER being in that situation. English football is eating itself and has been for years. Mon the south!

Money is a cancer throughout football. Even the so called richest clubs would fold like cards without their billionaire owners propping them up as has happened recently with Barcelona when their financial security was whipped from under their feet. No easy answers to this disease but some day the symptoms will take their toll.

At least the board are keeping Queens afloat and not throwing about money we don’t have. Need to remember where the club was less than 19 years ago. We will survive.

I think we’ll always survive but we deserve better on the pitch.

Unfortunately better costs money. The club don’t have the kind of cash other teams in our league have. And as far as always survive, it’s not that long ago they had to go cap in hand asking for supporters clubs to bail them out to pay players wages. I regularly see posts demanding the chairman puts his hand in his pocket however he does not own the club. He is merely the custodian on behalf of the fans. Unless the fans support the club by paying at the gate we will always be in this situation. 941 at the match on Friday. Where have all the ‘fans’ that were at the cup final gone?

You’re quite correct , the Chairman doesn’t own the club despite what certain posters on here think. Love him or loathe him he single handedly saved the club years ago by purchasing the small piece of land next to Palmerston which in turn paid off our unpaid tax bill. Unfortunately the Save our South campaign did not raise very much money.

The BOD have backed the manager this year but it’s not happening on the pitch so he needs to take responsibility for that.

That's football - the manager signed this squad and while some have occasionally looked half - decent others are clearly not good enough at Championship level ! One small ray of hope is that the bottom 5 have played 75 games between them and have only recorded 13 victories so we MUST strive to beat these sides when we meet.
