    Spend, spend, spend.

No, I don’t think so either. There’ll be a bit of money available, but I don’t believe it’ll be the £500k or so that others suggest. Whether or nor anything will be spent in the window is debatable.

I have worries. Will it be ‘one out, one in’? That won’t work because we are down on numbers for cover already. Winter brings its fair share of injuries and s suspensions and we need more bodies. Short term contracts until the end of the season? Hardly a way to attract talent unless it’s linked to ‘X goals gets you an extension’, but we also need defenders. Loanees? Always hit and miss and I’m convinced that we need experience, not more youth, and youngsters are all that’s likely to be available.

My biggest fear though starts today, Say we get a jammy win today and another in December, possibly just enough to keep us out of the bottom two. I’m worried that a small number of points might persuade our demented BoD that we don’t need anyone, that the current squad has enough to maintain our League position. It hasn’t, but can they see that? I’m not convinced.
