Better late than Never -City Match Day Thread

Certainly cannot fault the magnificent defensive effort, but is that all we are now? Let's face it we cannot score against any bugger let alone City.

I am afraid that Raoul's behavior is just another indication that he still has not got his game back and raises the question, will he ever be the player he was. Sounds dramatic bur it is not an unknown occurrence following a bad injury of any kind.

My internet was down yesterday so couldn't post. Is it a surprise that the Big Four, United City, Liverpool and Chelsea shared 5, yes five penalties between them and all proved decisive.

In general I try and support referees, but I am coming to the conclusion that they are in general inept, or some might say corrupt. Everything seems to fall in favour of the top teams.

Having watched M O T Day last night the panel were unanimous that the first yellow for Jimenez was incorrect and the last was stupid. They all agreed that the penalty awarded against Moutinho, was never a penalty. However, it was the game changer.

Having felt gutted last week, to defend so well and lose in the last minutes, it was another kick in the teeth at the Etihad. The players can hold their heads high after two incredible defensive displays. Okay we are having trouble scoring, but the fact that we haven't had a goal scored against us from a set piece this season, needs to be regognised.

Max Kilman continues to impress along with Ait Nouri and skipper Coady.

Brighton on Wednesday next, 7.30 start, we have sold our full compliment of 3,000 tickets, fantastic for a midweek long trip. Three points would be just reward.

On a different tack, yesterday at Cheltenham , The The Racing Post Gold Cup Handicap Chase was won by Cool Coady at 12/1, paid for a few Christmas presents.

Always tough sledding against one of the big clubs. Doesn't help when the officials aren't on your side either. Jimenez' deserved the red with the silly timewasting there. Really put his team in a bind. Close to two points from the last two matches, and I'd have been happy with one. Biggest problem is not having Jimenez for the Brighton match.

RE "Biggest problem is not having Jimenez for the Brighton match. " Hopefully give him time to reflect on his stupid action. I also think that he hasn't played well since we beat WHU. Great opportunity .... I hope Lage gives Podence a chance, alongside Traore
