You're correct about the previous chairman currently paying the wages but apparently he's not prepared to do that for long so if he does step back, Huddersfield will have big problems.
It may not come down to whether or not Huddersfield may want to sell Reg, they may have no choice.
I would love him to stay with us though and it would be great if we could get him on a permanent contract.
Come on TS, you know it makes sense
In that case we should be offering him a contract and pray all parties involved are happy

Come on Reg you love it here, we love you here

Surely if Hudds are strapped for cash then they would prefer £800k from another cship club, as per the opening post, rather than £150k plus a sell on percentage from us......and so would REG

£500,000 was reported to be a fee that might tempt Huddersfield Town, which will be upped if interest from different clubs,
which the Millers won't want to pay.
Preston North End would look the ideal club, don't know how Derby County are supposed to be in the running for the player,
with them having a transfer embargo against them.
Hopefully Huddersfield Town will take up the 12 month contract option on REG, & he stays at the NYS for the rest of the
    season.

ELK, IF we get back into the Championship, then we can expect to pay a lot more for players if we intend to stay there this time. I don't think we can keep pulling rabbits out of hats (Smudge) and taking 3 seasons to get them up to standard. In today's footballing prices, I don't think 500k for an up coming Championship player, is too much to pay. It all depends what Tony wants to do and spend but Aldi/Lidl prices won't cut it and we'll be back down before we know it.

If PW wanted to sign reg and asked TS to spend 750k on him he, I've no doubt he would. Would reg accept the £3600 we pay when he's prob on 2 or 3x that amount at udders. Urm no

Cayton, he's soon to be out of contract and paid nowt! Not sure what Barlaser was on at Newcastle but he saw it fit and proper to come to us.....just a thought.

Fair point on the Laser and there must have been interest elsewhere too but we got him

The other issue though, that Paul Douglas has mentioned before, is where we have salaries that rise and fall depending upon which division we are in.
Some clubs don't ask the players to take a pay cut if they get relegated
Wasn't a problem for Dan B though so who knows

Udders have a extension clause and he's worth money to them so they will either sell him or extend the contract. There's no way he will Be out of a job for at least 18 month...
Barlazer. We were in the championship and were paying in the 5k bracket plus he was out of contract,. We could have been his best option (only option)
