    What is it about Tynecastle...

Three goals conceded there this season, all of them absolute gifts - Goss playing santa in the box this time.

Shame as an otherwise even game.

And we just missed an absolute sitter to equalise. It's like September all over again!

Slattery next. We've actually played ok overall but those are two absolutely shocking errors which have thrown away the game.

270 minutes of normal time without a goal, if you don’t score you can’t possibly win a league game. We need an out and out centre forward. Not someone who can play anywhere across the front three. We need a player that instinctively plays in the opposition six yard box I genuinely fear for us in the next three or four games, top six the way we are playing and defending at the minute is a joke.

Two errors resulted a self inflicted defeat.
We continue to create very little and launch ball forward in the hope something will happen final third.
Tierney faded, becoming anonymous and should have been subbed mid-way thru 2nd half
Both SoD and McGinley worsen with each game and lucky have no completion for places.

It was Shaw who was caught in possession for the second goal. I thought he was a yard slow all game.

True, Slattery lost it needlessly, Hearts gave it straight back to Shaw and he flogged the jerseys.

Gave two goals away, missed a sitter didn't profit when Gordon got into a fankle nor, when, later in the game, the Hearts defence kept giving us the ball back. We need the kind of striker KVV looked when he scored those two at Pittodrie. Mistakes apart, we're a sound outfit, but I'm not sure about having forward players who take shots each at being away out on the wing. Two snap shots from KVV and Amaluzor and a few corners was about it in the second half.
I'm in the 'we need a striker' camp, though I don't know where we'll get one. Once he gets up to speed, Tierney looked as though he could pick a pass. But he'll need somebody to pass to!

KVV clearly has some ability but his finishing unreliable.

Tierney should be off the bench for a bit imho, we don't have the full backs for yesterday's formation. Ultimately - ignoring the tic-tacs - Alexander names very cautious teams. How many players starting yesterday would you back to create or score? You need to have some level of threat from half the team or the whole plan revolves round nicking one, and as we've seen even when that works it's a tough watch.
