How have our relegation rivals done?

Well...Burnley have lost one of their strikers, obvs

I think the two bits of business Everton have done today are potentially very good. Both players have a point to prove and both are very good albeit they've lost their way at their respective clubs.

Leeds are placing their trust in Bielsa and his policy of bringing youth through. Brave strategy but it remains to be seen if it pays off.

Norwich and Watford-have they done anything this month?

I don't think anyone could argue that we haven't had the best window (one of the best-if not the best-in the league let alone amongst the bottom 5) although our inability* to attract a top striker may be our downfall.

    Thoughts?

*and that is absolutely not a dig at the owners. They have tried their level best and done a fantastic job; there's a range of factors which have meant we couldn't but our owners not trying hard enough isn't one of them, imo.

Watford and Norwich still as bad as pre window Burnley new striker will score a few but doubt it will be enough to keep them up as for Everton their defence is still pretty bad and they didnt improve it.

Think we`ve done as well as anyone and a lot better than most. Norwich just loaned Cantwell to Bournemouth, seems strange as I thought we`d had a look.
If that Guimaraes is as good as he`s rated we`ll be a totally different team and much better. Fairly optimistic but think we really needed another striker.

Wout Weghorst is an interesting signing by Burnley. He's scored 1 in 2 over the last 4 Bundesliga seasons for Wolfsburg. I think Burnley will go down this season though

Fat Pig's underinvestment got us into this mess.

Would he have gone to the same lengths to try to unf'uck the situation?

It's now up to the players we have and EH (because he hasn't been faultless) to galvanise themselves for the fight.

Couldn't care less about the others. It's all about our determination and application now....

Agreed Zip, we have had an amazing window - and yes, it could have been even better with another striker and maybe Lingard.

But man alive, we haven't had a window like this since I don't know when. It's very exciting, and like you say, we have come out of this better than our direct rivals.

Weghorst is a good signing for Burnley, but they also needed investment in other areas to keep themselves up IMO. We'll see how it goes.
