At the end of this season

hopefully, in total safety, we will look back at this game and the significance of the result.

No game more than this one will be looked upon as being the turning point in what has been up to now a terrible first half of a season.

    Leeds away wasn’t bad either

    Seismic shift in attitude.

When you see lazy a$$ Shelvey tracking, running and working so hard for the team you know we will be safe.

    Plaudits to Mr Edward Howe

I have to agree with you there Tino, that Leeds result was a good morale booster particularly at their place, but the reason I personally would plump for this one is the difference some of the new lads made and more to come from the newcomers unused

Alistair Magowan of the BBC agrees this was our turning point:

IF IF IF IIIF, knock on Wood, we stay up - the turning point for me was Leeds away. And the foundation for that win was the early signing of Tripper - coming in with hes performance, and not at least he attitude.

Its a long way to go and I think were no longer among the 3 worst teams, but with the wrong or right type of luck, good teams have been relagated before, and poor teams have stayed up.

We need to back up our result all the way to stay up.

    Agreed.

A lot has to go to Trippier as well though, his professionalism and winning mentality have made such a difference.

At least we've shown that we're capable of winning games and staying up.

Other teams' results and injuries will still have a large say in matters but at least we know that we're in with a better shout than we were not too long ago.

It would be a relief to go on a run that put us into a position where we weren't considering the effect of other team's results.

It would but I don't think it'll end like that sadly, think we'll be looking at other teams results till last weeks.
