    Archaic cup tie rules

    Surely with so many players moving in January cup tied rules should be modified

    I'd suggest the player is cup tied whilst original side is in cup, once they are out the player should be free to play.

    That seems a very sensible change to the current Scottish Cup rules which were introduced long before there was a January transfer window.
    However this is the SFA we are talking about who will only change the rules if either Celtic or Rangers submit a request.
