Sorry to hear of Trippiers foot injury, he was excellent against us and will be missed by Newcastle, he had a huge influence on the game but fear not Toon Army, I saw enough to suggest even without him you will survive. UTV

I get the impression Viking that you would rather be a happy pessimist rather than a disappointed optimist.

Cheers, Dave-very good of you to say.

Problem is, he makes us greater than the sum of our parts and we've won 3 and drawn one with him playing. As said, hopefully Bruno will come in and have a similar effect in midfield.

Let's see what Bruno can do to fill his boots.

I'm hired too. But we shouldn't just give up all hope.

Hope Trippier will still be around the squad, even on match days.

If he’s out for 6 weeks he could hopefully be back against Spurs. That would mean 5 games missed

Of course. You get more up turns that way.

Its not all doom, but broken foot on our best player in a relegation battle is a nightmare.

But its not a surprise. Long term injury on our best players is always a factor. Cant remember a season without it.

With Wilson out until almost the end of the season and trippier potentially the same, you do worry that circumstances beyond our control are conspiring to take things out of our hands.

It would appear that Manquillo’s injury isn’t too bad. I thought he was decent against Vile and we need him at his best now.
