Molineux Hosting Two National Team Matches

Saw that Molineux is hosting two Nations League matches this summer. The first, against Italy, will be behind closed doors due to fan behavior at the Euros. The second, against Hungary, will host fans.

First national team matches at Molineux since a 1958 WCQ against Denmark in 1956. A 5-2 England victory, which featured a Tommy Taylor hat trick and a Duncan Edwards brace. Billy Wright was in the team and the captain for the match.

I always thought it was somewhat silly for team's to have a stadium that they use the same stadium for almost all matches. You would think you could build alot more goodwill throughout the country with rotating through many stadiums instead of having 90% of matches at Wembley.

They are not interested in goodwill mate, just money.

I was at that game against Demark, my Dad took me. I still have the program somewhere back in the UK.

Thinking about it this is a bit of a backhanded complement really.

"Here you are, we are going to let you have one of our big international games against Italy and oh by the way, you won't be able to have any spectators attend".

    Aholes!!
