Key points:

At least 3.3 billion people are already very vulnerable - highly exposed and least able to adapt.

Damaged ecosystems are less able to cope with a changed climate, and increased extreme weather has already pushed parts of world beyond ability to adapt.

Half of species assessed have already shifted polewards or to higher altitudes.

It's not too late to adapt, but window is narrowing.

Rapid action to keep warming close to 1.5C would reduce damages "but cannot eliminate them all"

Conserving 30-50% of global land and water is essential to Earth's ability to cope, as are cash and political will.

Many millions already forced from their homes and over 140 million could be displaced by 2050.

Weather extremes have exposed millions of people to acute food and water insecurity.

Every time that this needs to be taken seriously, some shyte kicks off....it's almost like we just don't want to face this elephant in the room.....and we will talk about anything bar this looming disaster.
