    Drummers.

I found this amazing piece of video of FOO Fighters main man Dave Grohl reprising his drum section from “Smells Like **** Spirit” by Nirvana.

30+ years on and even though he left the drums behind when he started the FOO Fighters he’s still amazing and doesn’t miss a beat.

Drummers are a rare breed,it’s a brutal piece of kit to play especially as you age.

World class drummers are a very rare breed but Grohl is right up there for m money.

They are all as mad as March Hares. The ones that spring instantly to mind are Baker, Moon and Bonham, all dead of course.
I have a friend on FB who sadly passed away last year who was a drummer and a friend of Bonham.
I was in the Rising Sun Coseley when we heard of Bonham's passing.
We were at a concert at Wolves Civic when we heard about Moon.

I love watching videos on YouTube about things I couldn’t do, and watching people breakdown why certain people excelled in their field or really changed something

From what I’ve seen Bonham was awesome in his field, but I’m amazed by any good drummer tbh, but from what I’ve seen on drummers Bonham was something else

Back in the 70’s some of my fellow t e e n agers at school went Carol singing in Hagley.

They knocked on one door and it was answered by Lulu and John Bonham.

Robert Plant and a load of other musicians were having a party and listened to the carols and then gave very generously.

On one occasion back in the early seventies, I was invited to John Bonham’s house in Harley; interesting it was!

Lulu could have knocked on my door! One of her songs - To Sir With Love - is one of my favourites! She was a class act and wow!

How can you tell whether a drummer has his stool level?

100% agre with you there BS.

I have posted this before, it was filmed not long before ex husband Maurice Gibb died, you can see in their eyes the affection they still had for each other.

She was about 53 then and still stunning and at 73 now she still looks fab.
