We really have a great chance here - Hearts may well have a cup semi hangover and they have major injury issues what with Kingsley, Halliday, Halkett, Soutter all almost certainly out. Add in to this that with a Cup Final to look forward to, RN may elect to ‘rest and rotate’ what with their league season effectively over. 4th will also ensure later qualifying matches which would mean that for the first time in an eternity we would have time for a proper close/pre-season to allow players a proper break, plenty time to prepare for the following season on return, maybe some ‘proper’ pre season friendlies and of course, none of this League Cup ‘games in the middle of July’ farce.

We still don’t know what the sketch is with him but we could really do with the Butch back for this, otherwise I’m not sure what other changes TC can make from the Funsters so it’s otherwise likely to remain pretty unchanged. Hopefully a decent backing turns up and we push right on…………………..
    Good OP

I’d like to see Freeman back in.

If butch not available then could put Smith in midfield for K McD for this one

    Come on United !!!

'Calum Butcher, meanwhile “was off for a few days last week” and is unlikely to feature against Hearts this weekend, Courts reported'.

Depending on where the clubs ambitions really lie, maybe it makes the case for giving someone else a chance in more places than just the positions being eluded to! I would therefore be minded to see the following.

    Eriksson
    Edwards, Mulgrew, Graham
    Freeman, Smith, Levitt, Meekison, Niskanen
    McLeod, Watt

I actually think Benji is due a great run.

He is a top quality keeper and hope he can sign with some great performances to get us 4th

No experimenting with most important position.

    Come on Benj

Hopefully as wrong as I was yesterday but don't see a win today

I just think they will tail off closer to the final, the high of 3rd and the semi win over hibs will still be there pushing them on today

It's like us in 2010, we were 3rd and beat Raith in the Semi (cos the fun didnt fancy a semi vs Utd) we still went to Fir Park and won the week later in first post split game, before losses to the old firm, a draw with hearts and a defeat to hibs the week before the final

Plus think the team right now misses Butcher and Harkes, saying that if we do win would be great as I'm theory we could possibly get 4th/5th with just one win post split
