Good news, as long as it's not simply a knee jerk reaction, and has been thoroughly thought out. Seems a bit quick unless of course the board were aware of the Wullie court case and had already begun looking for a replacement.

Brian Rice is who we should have went with last season. He's got a contract with Alloa until 2025 and has more chance of getting into the playoffs with them. I'd be surprised if he makes a sideways move but perhaps he needs the money. He wouldn't be cheap due to the compensation required.

We're also being linked with Neil McCann on another website. Seems equally unlikely but we can hope.

If Grant Murray gets the job i won't be back this season.

Brian Rice would have taken the job last season but we were to late in sacking AJ and by then chipper got a part time gig at Alloa... He wants back into fulltime football so here's hoping... Good experienced manager that is happy ro bring young players on too.

Looking at Queens current status I would think that they present a great opportunity for any budding manager out there. We are only three points off the play off spot, have a decent core of players to work with and some outstanding youngsters but seriously need to tighten up the defence. The club has resources so, despite some comments, this does offer someone an attractive position to make a name for themselves or rebuild their reputation.

I totally agree Spike, the ideal opportunity for the right candidate to take a team apparently struggling at the wrong end of the table to a play off place and possibly even promotion. So the perfect chance to rebuild a career by simply adding strength to the defence and possibly a midfielder who can put a foot on the ball.

He will certainly come into the equation, and from McIntyre's perspective, Queens would be a very quick springboard back to the big time. Queens therefore need to make sure that if he comes on board, he's on a 2 year contract, so they are not left out of pocket.
    Exciting times for QOS.
