Transfer Fund For Championship Next Season???

With the impending sales of KP,Raph,Bamford plus don't we get parachute payments?

Surely we should be able to assemble a squad capable of the play-offs with the cash we will have?

Or will Radrizzani pocket the lot and leave us with what's left

One good thing Bielsa did was cut down the size of the squad so we won’t go down with a bloated squad and some contracts are up.

The player contracts have relegation wage reduction clauses.

    We will get parachute paymentts.

We will get payments for players that get poached.

The challenges will be buying decent players to get promotion who can play in PL too.

We also need tactics that work - ergo big problem.

Think Orta is starting to believe his own publicity and should go for what happened this year.

So we should have some cash but we will still have the Yankee Clown in charge and a very good chance Orta will be in charge of signings.

    Can't wait.....

Would like to think we could give the yank, as he seems to be continuously called on here, a good go next season, but realistically I think......what the hell does he know about the cut and thrust and hard work of the English championship, no more than the premiership I would imagine.

There will be very little available to rebuild. The balance between parachute payments and loss of the PL-related revenue will give us a (more or less) neutral outcome. We get payment for players who leave, but all will be less when sold as from a Championship side (as we are likely to be). Given the abysmal performance of the board, what player worth their salt would want to come to LUFC, same goes for any coach that may be required to replace Marsh?

Thankyou Radrizzani, for playing the cheapskate game, just like the fake sheiks and the mad Italian, the difference being that Radrizzani COULD have afforded to do better, not so with the arab/Italian connections.

You just can't resist can you. Euphemism or not, you're ability to resort to insults is unmatched. Call a spade a spade, c u n t ish is as c u n t ish does.

We didnt seem to want to spend say 30 mill to possibly stay in the Prem, so if its Marsch or whoever, think their budget will be around 30-40 mill max, even after losing 3-4 keys players, pulling in say 75 mill. Bargain buys once again, not sure Marsch is the right guy, for that type of player, suited for the championship and all that brings.

Orta has been the architect of a recruitment campaign iver several years where the returns on investment can only be described as minimal. The squad that gained promotion was 95% in place before Orta arrived, and the additions to the squad since promotion have been if VERY limited value by whatever measure you care to apply. His performance if placed in any other sphere professional activity would have seen him sacked after less than 12 months in the post. He has squandered HUNDREDS of millions in wasted transfer fees, wages paid for players sent out on loan with no prospect of ever playing for LUFC (at ANY level) and commercial arrangements with the likes of Cultural Leonard that have devices zero benefit to LUFC, not to mention the DISASTEROUS "good bits of business" for the likes of Casilla or even worse, JKA. Unfortunately, Radrizzani is too naive to see through him, and will in all probability retain his services to "assist" in the rebuild. Looking forward to Div 1.
