Just heard a piece of an interview he gave to Radio Sheffield. In it he claims it wasn't all about the money....
He went on to say what convinced him to sign for Weds was the 'project' Darren Moore sold him that made it more appealing.
Is he actually saying that remaining in League 1 and trying to gain promotion from a lower league, is more appealing than putting himself up against better quality players in the Championship and proving what a good player he is?
Just get about your business Michael and move on, you making yourself sound silly.
agreed, at least Icky was clear it was the financial element for his family. Smiths comments means he believes that Moore is a better manager than Warne and that running a club beyond its means is better than running a club in a way that has intregrity. Because a PROJECT at Wednesday has to include the football and the running of the club, the culture of the club, the way employees are treated etc etc. Well it is a bit of an insult to PW and TS to make out that the Pigs project is better than the Millers project when you look at it holistically......................or more likely he is sucking up to the pigs fans. Really hope he falls flat on his arse, imagine us just below mid-table and wednesday losing in another play-off semi-final, the perfect season
He has to justify the move on more than purely monetary considerations and is merely going through the motions of saying the things that supporters expect from all new signings. However, Smith needs coaching in the special requirements of pig fans who expect to hear the words "massive", "sleeping giant", "a Premiership club in waiting" and "huge fan base" liberally sprinkled in every interview.
WE need to move on though...I couldn't give a mo keys what he says now tbh.
Have you run this thread past towner. 3 threads on Smith could blow his mind
