    Morris joins Luton

Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Carlton Morris has joined Luton Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old forward made 55 appearances for the Reds after arriving from Norwich City in January 2021, scoring 16 goals in all competitions.

Khaled El-Ahmad, Barnsley FC Chief Executive Officer, said: “We would like to thank Carlton for his efforts and professionalism during his time at Oakwell.

“Everyone here at Barnsley Football Club wishes Carlton well for the future.”

Morris added: "I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with Barnsley Football Club in welcoming me and making my time there so amazing.

"I loved my journey with the Club and the return of fans after Covid was an experience I’ll never forget. Barnsley FC will always have a place in my heart and leaving was a decision I did not take lightly.

"Thank you again, and I wish you all nothing but the best going forward.”

Luton ain't daft, they know they have acquired 2 very good players in Woodrow and Morris probably for modest transfer fees. Thanks to both for their efforts and best of luck at Luton who are a club run extremely well. That arseoyle Conway has a lot to answer for. This club has gone backwards under PMG. The new regime left to pick up the pieces.

Time to move on and let's hope we can acquire our targets before the season starts because our strike force needs reinforcements and quick.

Correct Pass - it was only a matter of time and I wish Morris all the best.

With his injury record and all the s**e he has to put up with Chien and Conway who can blame him.

As disappointed as I am at Morris & Woodrow leaving, the only positive that I can draw on is the fact that it didn't happen in late August with no time to find replacements.

This is pathetic to be honest, and seeing as its a club like Luton, it will be a disappointing low fee again.
Its firesale time at Oakwell again, come and grab a bargain player or two etc. 😬

Like you didn’t think this would happen ? It won’t be just two….. there’s 4 more at least “Undisclosed “ players to leave….. at least. Same old, same old .

    Got to agree.
With due respect to Luton - I would have expected a club with a bigger chance of reaching the top 6 to come in for him.
I’m not expecting Luton to be there this season.

Morris is 1 of the 3 that I hope would stay.
Helik and Collins being the other 2.
So it’s a big disappointment that he’s left.

The club's no option acido , the finances are extremely dire .

The player probably made it known he wanted to leave so it's best he goes .

Totally different territory from when Pinnock , Lindsay and Moore left and the unforgettable transfer window of January 2017 .
