I’ll give the lasses one thing - there’s much less gamesmanship than with the lads. They run off when substituted, don’t kick the ball away when they lose a free kick and don’t roll around on the floor when fouled. Refreshing to see.

I admit, I enjoyed last nights game, great winning goal BTW.

One or two of the lasses are easy on the eye as too - dont get that in the mens game.

.... sorry for ruining my first comment with a blatently ***ist 2nd remark.

That's true Sherwood, and when I was running regularly I would be beating women international athletes (and not troubling the leading men).
But then I watched the recent women's 1500 metres final at the World Athletics Championship.
23 seconds slower than the men's but it was a fantastic race.

    It's all about the competition.
Last night's England v Spain game was a real nailbiter - and no small skill from many of the players either.

I watch my local rugby team regularly. Skill levels are way lower than the Premiership, but I've enjoyed loads of their games.
    Likewise lower league football.

These women's euros have been a pretty good watch so far.
The only annoyance is that I have tried repeatedly to buy tickets for myself and my daughter at Brighton, only to be told they are sold out. Then you watch on TV and see loads of empty seats!

Great win for England last night and an audacious goal by Alessia Russo!

Hope the Lionesses win the whole thing.

They have played the best football through out the tournament and deserve to be Euro Champions.

Also would be great for the country to be Champions of Europe after Brexit.

Ahead of the men's world cup it throws the gauntlet down for the underachieving Lions to man up and actually win a tournament for the first time in 56 yrs!

What a year in football 2022 could be!

That back heel nutmeg from Russo broke the Swedish Goal keeper.

The one thing about women's football is glaringly deficient compared to the men's game is the quality of Goal keeper.

England's keeper was epic in that game against Sweden and has been consistently solid through out.

Role on the final and let's see if it's cheese and wine fairies of the wurst and beer birds who the Lionesses will be roaring past to pick up the silverware!

The other glaring difference is the quality of manager between the Lionesses and Lions.

That's a good observation TopToon. Perhaps we could do a swap over.
