My thermometers highest reading this afternoon was 40.8c in shade which is 105.55f....in other words its hotter than a smackheads spoon on giro day.!!!!

Met Office magic. Perhaps they can see the rain higher up. Perhaps it's an urban myth.

I think the technical term for that magic is Doppler Radar.
