Brief story on the new LED lights on the OS:

    https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news...lights-240722/ and copied below:

State-of-the-art floodlights have been installed at Meadow Lane and supporters will see them in action at Tuesday’s pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest.

The new LED fittings replace the previous lamps which, having been installed in 2014, were reaching the end of their lifespan.

This investment introduces technology used at top-class football venues such as Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena and Rotherham’s New York Stadium, a host ground for this summer’s Women's European Championships, and carries several benefits for the club including:

    Reduced electricity charges
    Minimal maintenance costs
Brighter white light with reduced glare
    Reduced carbon footprint

I seem to recall we've been progressive in floodlights before, was it in the '60's when the tall tower lights replaced the aging squat units?

Not if they attach them to some Zeppelins

Seems like the half arsed media team have been reading NCM again lol. I passed the ground today and couldn't help but notice how small the new lighting system is compared to the old fashioned pylon and square grid of floodlights in West Bridgford. Hopefully they are bright enough, as my eyes need all the help they can get these days.

Went past the ground this morning and all the new floodlights were on, they looked quite impressive.

They look sleek and modern, unlike those over the river that look like they were installed in 1960.
