Think some questions needs to be ask to owners tbh

Looks like they’ve been told to take pictures down.
The ones I saw was appalling, doesn’t look like it’s been watered at all

It's a disgrace really at a time of the growing and football season when just about every other pitch (what's Hillsborough looking like?) is in pristine condition. Not sure how they expect to be playing on it again soon (midweek) if they've already had a week to work on it and it's still so bad, unless of course the grounds staff have been on holiday.

PS Don't tell Grist but according to the BBC website the game is still on

The relationship between the two have been strained to say the least over the last few years…this is just the latest episode…having to play at Northampton and Birmingham the results… seems it’s just a soured relationship that needs ending…

I can forgive them, the Titanic sinking must be taking up a lot of their time

Reading that it looks like they have been seriously let down by the owners of the stadium.

On the other hand, if they(Coventry) expected a new pitch for this season when did they notice that it hadn't happened? Couldn't they have informed the EFL that it was a pile of poo? Did they ask for a couple of away games to start with?

Sheff Utd asked for an away game start and were given it to prepare the pitch of any damage after the Euro's. RUFC also asked but were refused. Good job we got a 5 star rating from UEFA then, which is 1 down from Wembley.

It's a total balls up, less already moved from a Saturday fixture, people changed plans to accommodate Sunday game and now cancelled less than 24 hours before due to circumstances that have been there for days. Now we're looking at a midweek fixture, hopefully people can get there transport money back.
Surely this could have been forseen and avoided or are Rotherham Council running the show at Coventry.

Exactly, new turf should’ve been down by sounds of things but didn’t happen
