    Chris McClure aka Christian, front man of The Chris McClure Section, eye-wateringly good soul band on the late 60s/early 70s before he took the far more lucrative cabaret route as Christian. Last time I saw him play, I think, was as Billy Connolly’s support at HMT in December 1974.

    I saw the headline and remembered him from the World Cup 82 song right away. Probably more the TOTP performance.

    Amazing how things like that stay in your head, whilst important stuff disappears quick.
