    Jason Turner update

Our chief executive Jason Turner has provided an update on several matters ahead of Saturday’s 2022-23 curtain-raiser against Maidenhead.

As another new campaign looms large, I would like to wish Luke Williams and his players all the best for what we hope will be the season which results in our long-awaited return to the EFL.

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming our supporters back to Meadow Lane this weekend and I wanted to take the opportunity to bring you all up to speed ahead of the match.

    Season ticket update

Our ticket office are keen to ensure all 2022-23 season ticket holders are fully informed and prepared ahead of Saturday’s match. Specific guidance is as follows:

    Postage

If you selected postage when purchasing your season ticket and are yet to receive your card, please email seasontickets@nottscountyfc.co.uk.

    Collection

If you selected collection when purchasing your season ticket and have not done so already, please collect your card ahead of Saturday to avoid large matchday queues if you can.

Our club shop is open 9am – 5pm on Thursday and 9am – 6pm on Friday.

If you can’t collect prior to matchday, please collect your card from the main ticket office which will be open from 9am.

    Using last season’s card

If you selected or were informed that you should continue to use last season’s card but you mislaid or discarded it, please email seasontickets@nottscountyfc.co.uk.

    Any questions?

If you are unsure about which method you chose at the point of payment, or have any questions, please email seasontickets@nottscountyfc.co.uk as far in advance of matchday as possible.

    Digital season tickets

We have been working hard to enable those who opted to receive a digital season ticket to use this method from Saturday onwards.

Unfortunately, however, we have encountered difficulties during set-up and therefore digital passes will not be in operation this weekend. Please therefore ensure you bring your physical card with you.

We apologise for the inconvenience and are determined to resolve this issue ahead of the Chesterfield match.

    Car parking

As we no longer have use of the Cattle Market car park due to an impending change of ownership, we have secured the use of an alternative site to accommodate seasonal parking members. This site is located directly next to Nottingham Office Equipment, close to the junction between Meadow Lane and County Road, and is a short walk from the main stadium gates.

While use of this car park will initially be exclusive to those holding seasonal permits, it’s possible we will be able to sell spaces to fans in the future.

In the meantime, the current owners of the Cattle Market have informed us that supporters will still be able pay £5 per vehicle until further notice.

    Contactless payments

As part of our summer review into our supporters’ matchday experience, we have taken the decision to prioritise contactless payments at our concourse kiosks.

This means that the majority of tills will be set up to exclusively process contactless payments, which will help speed up service.

A limited number of cash tills will be available in each concourse, with signage on display and stewards on hand to help supporters identify the correct queue.

    Away shirts

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this season’s kit launch the most successful in over a decade.

As a result of these unprecedented sales, we have sold out of several away shirt sizes and have placed a new order with PUMA which we expect to receive in early December.

At the time of writing, good availability remains in sizes XXL and 3XL, while there is very limited availability in adult 4XL and 5XL, as well as junior size 7-8.

All other sizes are currently unavailable but can be pre-ordered online, in store or by calling 0115 955 7200. I strongly advise you to act swiftly to guarantee your size.

As part of our shirt launch and in celebration of our new charity partnership with Rainbows Hospice, we agreed to donate £5 to the charity each time a supporter purchased a new home and away shirt in the same transaction during the opening two weeks of sale. I’m delighted to say that, as a result, we will soon be making a donation of over £1,000 to Rainbows. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

    Heavy traffic expected

With Lady Bay Bridge still closed in one direction and a large crowd expected at Trent Bridge for Trent Rockets’ clash with Birmingham Phoenix in the Hundred, which begins at 2.30pm, the roads around Meadow Lane are expected to be very busy all afternoon.

Please plan your journey accordingly and remember that our concourses open 90 minutes before kick-off, with alcohol and other refreshments available around the ground.

If you’re bringing young children to the match I would highly recommend buying tickets in the Family Stand, where a host of fun pre-match activities will be on offer from 1.30pm.

Can I ask, does always copying and pasting verbatim articles from the OS not reduce the number of clicks the site gets, and potentially club income?

We don't host adverts on the site so it's not a revenue stream. We have to pay EFL Digital to host the site.

Only way you'd be taking income away would be by posting paid for link from pies player

Ah, thanks. I was wondering about the Cadbury funding really, but I've no idea at all how it all works!

Surely if you were a medium you'd have known that beforehand?

Just had an email from the club which confused me a bit saying:

We can't wait to welcome you back to Meadow Lane on Saturday!

As we won't be issuing you with a new card this season, we recommend you double check you haven't misplaced yours well in advance of matchday.

If you have, please email seasontickets@nottscountyfc.co.uk ASAP and we'll be happy to help you.

Furthermore, we have been working hard to enable those who opted to receive a digital season ticket to use this method from Saturday onwards.

I've been sent a new card by post which looks exactly the same as last season. I'll take both along on Saturday just to be on the safe side.

So what's this 'digital' ST? Presumably something you load on your phone? I was held up before the Forest PSF by people struggling to get a scannable image on their phone. I realise that phones now rule the world, but is it really so difficult to take a plastic card to the game?

So much more material for your money as well. A 5XL could lose some weight and make 2 shirts out of his one.
