    Team v Halifax

Not a ‘must win’ in the truest sense of the phrase but it wouldn’t half lift the mood. Here’s my attempt assuming all fit.

    …………………Slocombe

    ………..Rawlo….Bajrami……..Baldwin

    Austin….Ruben….Palmer….O’Brien….Cameron

    ……………Scott………..Langstaff

Never been convinced either Brindley or Chicksen are CB’s. Let’s get the big ‘orrible buggers on there. We need some creativity out wide, both Austin and Cameron can do that….though we haven’t seen Austin defend yet he certainly has the energy for that role and has played there before.

CM still doesn’t have much physicality in there, but that’s the best I can muster!

Think I would go with a back 4 to accommodate both Langstaff & Scott

    ------------------------------Slocombe-----------------------------

    Brindley-----------Bajrami------------Cameron--------------Chicksen

    ---------Austin---------------Francis-------------------Palmer

    -----------------------------Rodrigues------------------------------

    --------------------Langstaff-------------Scott----------------------

with Brindley & Chicken doing the old 'Over-lapping Full-backs' role

A proper formation. We lack a Strodder Simms centre half, one that does what it says on the tin. Heads it, kicks it tackles & nowt fancy

Now we're talking. That looks good to me, but makes far too much sense to happen?

After Saturday, has there been a time when the 'manager'/owners have been under greater pressure than this since relegation in terms of what might come there way from supporters?

Halifax have yet to score and are rock bottom, if we lost then it would be 3 points from the last possible 12..... 0.75 PPG since the opening day is relegation form.

A draw would mean 4 draws on the trot going into the Solihull game, putting big pressure on that fixture.

So far this season, we are unbeaten - they say that winning your home games & drawing away is promotion form - apart from Saturday when we dropped 2 points (against one of the best teams in the NL) we are doing that!. Not yet the time to panic me thinks!

I’d be happy with this. We haven’t got the players to play with wingbacks, imo!
