    We’ve been after this guy all preaseason n we couldn’t outbid Birmingham WTF

    Was it down to money? I don’t think he would play much for us and we need to spend our money where we need it most.

    Also Blues have a great record with Man U loanees getting games. Would we even give him much game time anyway. We certainly certainly aren’t rushing to give our own younger players a game.

    Nothing to do with being outbid by them as far as I'm aware. He's a decent player but the lad and United were looking for guaranteed game time.

    If he'd backed himself he'd very likely have got sufficient game time with us given the competition, but no young loan player should be guaranteed game time.

    If you think differently that's fine, just cast your mind back to Andre Wisdom, different players, different positions, same principle.

    Just like Livermore shouldn't have been guaranteed game time under Valerian Ismael. You need to earn the right to play, not take it for granted.

    Good point, and I guess the people looking to loan youngsters know this, too.
