    Match Day MU under 21

I guess the usual apathy will be shown by fans, but it will be interesting to see the response of MU fans including those based in Cumbria. I think we will take the opportunity to give some a game while providing those that have been injured with a decent run out. Crowd - 1,852

The rules for Premiership 2 and in this competition for Premiership under 21 teams are that 6 of the 11 players at any time may be over 21 years old if one of them is a goalkeeper. So that is the strongest that Manchester United could be tonight.

But this season Manchester United have made the policy decision that in Premiership 2 as stated above they will play a team entirely consisting of players from the next age group down, presumably under 19.

Tonight they are facing an entire team of open age players, so presumably they will not bring their Premiership 2 team which is entirely consisting of under 19 year olds.

Common sense would seem to be that it would be a team that is somewhere between the two extremes.

Cristiano Ronaldo is pissed off with the club and that is reciprocated. Expect him to be well punished by being put on the bench tonight at Brunton Park.

He will be sat there gagging for it like, eh.

They have come along way since 1974/5 when we were in the First Division and they were in the Second.
