To be fair, I seem to remember that we offered Sam a new contract but he turned it down. Not much we could have done.

Yeah, he wanted game time but he was about fourth in the pecking order to play in the wing behind Roberts, Enzio and Thomas. That summer we also bought in Sam and Rodrigues so I think he'd have been even further down the pecking order

    Why is it just wrong?

Don't know if it's true, but at the time I remember reading that the contract we offered was barely an upgrade on his youth deal.

Why will he be sh1t on? You want him starting for the Notts first team? Or coming off the bench ahead of Mitchell?

For me it's the perfect move. Go out on loan, play lots of minutes and really impress.

Looks like he’s now out of favour there, 2 games ago on the bench and last game not in the squad. Birds also now in the same league. I think Notts were justified letting them both go. They may kick on in a couple of years but Notts ultimately couldn’t give them game time on the off chance it might happen.

Is the correct answer in my eyes also. If they develop and end up in the EFL in years to come then great for them.

Although I refuse to believe Bird is playing in the league below!!!

Are we about to make a signing or two then? As with two out on loan our squad looks rather threadbare and only enough to fill the bench. We need more depth before winter injuries set in and a little competition to keep those being selected on their toes.
