Thread: Team for Newcastle

    Team for Newcastle

They're having a great season and confidence is high, ours is brittle so pack out the midfield and aim to take at least a point.

I would not change the starting line up from today, why would you. Best form of defence is attack...

Away from home against 4th in the table, when was the last time we got a win away against a team occupying the top positions, Howe always seems to do well against us too.

Newcastle got a great win at Spuds because they played off the front foot and it paid off. No one even after thumping Brentford will give us a chance against them, Gerrard would have changed it and parked the bus, you ain't winning anything doing that, let's just give it a go and give them a game!

Sanson is a strange one. A much heralded Dean Smith signing, yet DS wouldn’t play him. The next manager built him a pedestal but failed to get him off it to play. The spits and spats that I’ve seen of him have been steady. He either doesn’t train, or he’s a right C. Start him in the cup v urinal.

Chambers if fit, or Marvelous to partner the Donk. Will Bailey revert to prancing poseur mode, or can he go back to back?

There was a definite bounce visible on Sunday, just hope I’m wrong about the players all being sh1t. Time will tell.

Away from home, a slightly different approach. A bit more dogged and the more potent striker. Chances will be at a premium.

They have the best defence in the league so I'd start with the aim to still be in it after 60 mins by winning the midfield and stifling their flow - the expectations of their fans are now very high so to quieten the crowd then bring on subs with pace might just work.
