    O/t Data Leak message

Has anyone else had this message when logging on here “your password has appeared in a data leak from this site - please change it”. - is this a ‘scam’ or genuine?

If you save passwords on google it will be that that's reporting it.

If you use someone's name like 'angela2020' it might flag up falsely.

Use this link to check if your email address has been breached.

For peace of mind change your password.

If you have a compromised password/email combination and you have used it for a site where security is paramount (e.g. use it for banking/bill payment etc.) then you need to log on to that site and change the password. However if it's a site where you don't care then there's no need to do anything e.g. a site where you signed up to get the latest cardie fashions emailed to you
