Who would your starting 11 be from these players and you can also have 5 subs. any formation you like but it has to correlate with the chosen player, for example, you wouldn't have Ben Turner as a wingback! You've got 82 players to choose from!

Patterson had a handful of good games for sure, but Slocombe has in my opinion been a consistent, professional and at times superb goalkeeper for us. I like him!

In that first season ‘down here’ Ben Turner was outstanding before his injury…that playoff game tarnishes his memory somewhat! With Brindz and Cameron beside him he could just do what he did best. A colossus of a man!

Looking through that list, and despite recruitment improving no end, we've still had some right dross since we were relegated.

    Anyway, 3-4-1-2 also.

    GK - Patterson

    RCB - Brindley
    CB - Ellis
    LCB - Cameron

    RWB - Nemane
    CM - Palmer
    CM - Bajrami
    LWB - Chicksen

    AM - Rodrigues

    ST - Langstaff
    ST - Wootton

    Bench
    Rawlinson
    Kelly-Evans
    Dennis
    O'Brien
    Roberts

For the borderline calls, I’d favour longevity (hence Slocombe ahead of Patterson, and Rawlinson - POTS in his first two seasons - ahead of Bajrami etc). But then breaking my own rule by selecting Langstaff over Wootton!

RWB is probably the hardest position to choose as we’ve never had a settled player there (until this season), so moved Brindley forward. If we continue in the same vein this season, Nemane would be among those to come in.

CM also a tricky one, this shows what an outstanding signing Palmer’s been as he is absolutely head and shoulders above all the other options!

    Slocombe

    Lacey Rawlinson Cameron

    Brindley Palmer O’Brien Chicksen

    Roberts Rodrigues

    Langstaff

Subs: Patterson, Nemane, Doyle, Boldewijn, Wootton.

Honorary mentions: DKE, Bajrami, Vincent, Dennis.

Hemmings, Rose, Bird … they haven’t played for us in the National League have they? We’ve been down here so long some of these sound like a previous generation.

Yeah, first season down here. I think Hemmings played maybe one game before being sold or leaving

Nothing against Slocombe. I think he's good for this level. I just thought Patterson was outstanding whilst here and has gone on to prove that form. Wish he had stayed
