I've always wanted him to be a striker Phil, said it years ago. Don't know why he hasn't been used more that way.

Think that Phillips is more naturally suited to a strikers position than those he has tended to be given but whilst he may do better than Grant (hard not to! ) age is against him. Surely, if Asante does not start then he needs to be at least introduced a lot earlier so he has time to make an impact as on showings so far he has energy and actually gets in the box. Still don't see why Cleary isn't on the bench given his goal scoring record in P2 though.

As for the rest of the team selection for today I'm just a bit surprised that TGH isn't on in midfield as I thought he had a good first half last time out. Rogic looked good in his brief appearance too so may see him on at some point?

Let's hope they show the same sort of energy and desire as they did against Blackpool and that they play with a bit more confidence. Desperately need a win today. COYB!

Don't think Carlos rates Asante, a draw would be a good result today.

I agree with that, I think Corberan is trying to keep it tight but also have options to score. Lets hope. At least we know he's not afraid to drop players to suit formations.

Really good start, after 4 minutes we must have had 90% possession and two shots at goal.
