    Your favourite World Cup?

Mine was Argentina 78 as it was the first one where I was old enough to go to bed at whatever time I wanted to.

Those very late early hours watching Mario Kempes for Argentina, one of the great World Cups where a great player starred.

The ticker tape from the fans, the iconic music to the coverage, it's all here on the link below, still makes my spine tingle hearing that music and seeing Kempes in full flow, my God, he had fantastic feet for a big guy, what an athlete.

Then to see him in the flesh for Valencia against us later in 78 when we beat them in the EUFA Cup and Wile and Robertson made him look ordinary on that night, a real privilege to watch the guy though.

1982 because of the attacking (and non-defending) football of Brasil (Socrates, Zico, Eder, Falcao, Leandro).

And 1994, bronze to Sweden. 🥉

78 for me, was 10 and it was all fresh and exciting, my whole world then was football. Funny tho I get most emotional now about 1990, the football was terrible but what a ride our Bobby took England on.

Remember that one well Mick...with the late nights.
But the one before that, I think in 1974, Germany perhaps?
The music is very nostalgic when I hear today.
    Brian Moore presented.

Spain '82 was mine, really liked that silky Admiral England kit and the Adidas Tango ball.

Yes I enjoyed 74 as well Dubs.

England failed to qualify so I followed Sweden and I think they finished third.

They had a striker called Ralf Edstrom who I took a liking to due to the way he played ( like an Andy Hunt type ) so I followed them.

Loved the 1962 World Cup in Chile as it was the first one I saw on tv.
