Alan Burrows has hit out at a fan who said that Aberdeen have been "lax" in the transfer window.

God knows what more this fan was expecting; we've signed nine players, with more possibly to come. Just because we've missed out on a couple of players, doesn't mean we've failed in our recruitment.

Lax probably isn’t correct but it does look like we missed out on our main target by being a bit tight with the cash.

Mind you, he may well prove not to be worth the extra money, who knows?

It always ends up like this, we can’t afford to push people into signing early so we have to wait.

I can’t blame Burrows for posting that.A lot of fans are wetting the bed as usual because we haven’t signed all the players we need.Signing players isn’t as easy as some of these guys think.

The problem is this is the 3rd season in a row where we have had to sign over 10 players in the summer,that’s largely down to the fact we have had 4 managers in the last 2 1/2 years.

It’s never going to be easy getting in that amount of players every year so it’s critical that the club gets a bit of stability so we don’t have to bring in a dozen players again next summer.

As well as the change of management, the turnover has a lot to do with our reliance on loans.

Loaning players has something to do with it but it’s mainly down to us changing managers every year.

There’s absolutely no chance that out of the 12 or so signings we make none of them are going to be shyte.

You just have to hope that the majority of them are good and we stick with Robson for a few seasons so he can build a good team.
