Only Leyton Orient have conceded fewer League Two goals this season than Salford City.
When we play Saturday / Tuesday / Saturday the team is so honest that it is prepared to run its guts out for the whole game. Several opposition managers have said "They wanted it more than us".
So on the Saturday the team runs its guts out. But when the Tuesday match is played, although the team gives all that it has got to give, it has not got quite as much to give as would be ideal. Then on Saturday again the team gives all that it has got to give but has less to give than on the Tuesday.
Saturday / Saturday matches are ideal for our team. It is prepared to run until it is half dead. This is where we are better than most sides in League Two even when they are also playing a schedule of Saturday / Saturday.
Salford City will be a big test but they are human, taking 1 point from their last 3 matches and failing to score in all 3 against Leyton Orient, Rochdale and Wimbledon in that order.

Tonight, Wednesday, at 7:45pm it is the FA Cup First Round Proper replay between Salford City and Peterborough United, 'live' on ITV4.
Let's have it well fought over 90 minutes, extra time and penalties with Salford City getting several yellow cards, a late red card and losing.
FA Cup First Round replay result:-
Salford City 0 - 3 Peterborough United
Oh well, it was a match for 78 minutes, in the end a bit of a downer for Salford City who used 15 players and got 2 yellow cards.
I did want it to be a lively match for 120 minutes and penalties before Salford City lost, with several yellows and a late red, shagged out, beaten and a good player suspended from this coming Saturday's match against us.

Obviously an enthralling contest in front of just over, er, a thousand spectators. Could a club get any ****ter?
'Lump on' a Carlisle United win on Saturday. Salford City have not scored in their last 5 matches (League Two against Leyton Orient, Rochdale and Wimbledon, FA Cup against Peterborough United twice). Salford City's last goal was in League Two at Hartlepool United on Tuesday October 25th in the 90th minute, 450 match minutes ago.
By Saturday we will have had 6 clear days and 22 hours rest. Salford City played tonight and all things considered cannot be deliriously happy.

Paul Simpson talking of preparations for the Salford City match :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aNZk7ogR-w
Salford City's last goal at home was on Saturday 1st October against Grimsby Town.
Can we win today?
Well, summing up the Salford City data they have taken 1 point from their last 3 league matches, they have not scored in their last 5 matches (3 league, 2 cup), their last goal at home was on 1st October and they played / lost on Wednesday evening in the FA Cup.
When we play Saturday / Saturday rather than Saturday / Tuesday / Saturday we kick arse.
My forecast of today's result :-
Salford City no more than one
Carlisle United no less than 2
