And that was in good times, pre the financial crash, covid and war.

It’s funny Frank, I’ve just lislened to an hour-long phone-in on LBC headlined “ is there now any point to having a Conservative Party”. You must find it hurtful that mainline broadcasters are taking the piss out of your beloved Tories even more than you’ve started to do. The point is Frank that the Tories got this country into a God-awful financial mess and have now realised that ‘parking their tanks on Labour’s lawn’ (as it was put by one caller) is the only way out of the mess.

Anyway. What would you have done differently? Go back to Truss’s trickle-down economics?
