Are you expecting our squad to be strengthened or weakened in January?

I do not expect the squad to be strengthened. For every newcomer there would need to be a leaver. In the current economic climate our couple of weakest players are not going to leave unless they get persuaded to do so by being crudely compensated for their remaining contract period, which I do not see happening.

Remember also that PD (Purepay) wants a start to be made in repaying the current debt of £2.5 million. 1921 will also make a loss in the company year to 30/6/2023. The substantial transfer fee add-on payments are long gone, having resulted in 1921 breaking even for a couple of years. But the loss to 30/6/2023 is going to be an existential problem for 1921. PD (Purepay) is out, AJ ceased paying off the annual loss several years ago.

For supporters the anxiety over the January transfer window should be the least of their 1921 worries.
