If Dike can remain fit … he could the best striker we’ve had for many a year … at last a striker with physical presence, good skills and a knack for scoring goals … could be the difference for us at Champ level

Superb second half from the Albion tonight.

I wondered how we would compare with a team who would be sharper and ‘match fit’, I think the tentative first half performance was us just knocking the dust off and finding our groove again.

However, you can’t quantify the importance of a man like Dike, he’s set one up and scored the winner, boy have we missed him, that’s just liquid gold to any team. Your whole midfield can play differently with a man like that up front, I’ve seen it at amateur and semi pro level too, someone up top who gets on the end of things changes everything, frequency of crosses, through balls everything.

Also, if Messi had scored that goal that Rogic put away tonight with the outside of his left boot we wouldn’t have heard the last of it.

    Pure quality.

    Very good assessment Minn.

I’ll end up eating humble pie in regards to Dike.

Seems like a really nice bloke, very genuine and he looks like a player.

It strikes me that he’d be very potent in the Prem if he stays fit, probably the best we’ve had at that level IF we can keep him and IF he can stay fit.

If we don’t go up I can see him being a massive target for other Prem sides this coming summer.

If someone offers Lai £30m he’ll snap their hands off.

Nice to see and hear Mowbray in the after match, a very fair bloke and he was complimentary about us and didn’t look for excuses.

This is the problem Mick, the whole club has a big IF cloud hovering over the Hawthorns nowadays threatening to taint anything good that happens.

Is it time to extend Rogic's contract?

A real pleasure watching Wallace, Rogic and Dike going forward! 😊

Let's not forget that outstanding save made by Palmer at a crucial stage in the first half. Couldn't imagine Button pulling that one off. Could have been a different game if that had gone in.

Absolutely Tipps buddy. Very timely and potentially match saving.
(To be fair to Button, I would have expected him also to make a similar reaction attempt)

Totally agree regarding Palmer's save. To come back from two down would have been extremely difficult.
