First loan in Tony Springett a winger from Norwich. 20 years old and has actually played one game in the premier league.

Not someone I’ve heard of...in fact the only Springett I’ve come across before was a ‘keeper for Wednesday and an unused member of the ‘66 World Cup squad, but...in Warne we trust.

Suspect there’ll be one or two more in the next couple of weeks.

Ron Springett played for Wednesday as did his younger brother Peter!
Two very good keepers who are both no longer with us, indeed Peter was quite young when he passed away. Ron made many appearances for England whilst Peter never quite made the national team despite being a top notch stopper!

Apparently he can play on either wing and also as a wing back. I did predict that whoever we did sin would not have been flagged up before hand and probably no one we had heard of!

The club has reined in the leaks at last

We’ll see what he can do, hes a bit of a utility player so its all good personally. We meed a striker and a full back now.

Not sure if he'll be a starter, but will keep Barkhuizan on his toes (who's in cracking form!!), and also offer some cover for NML during busy periods or if he needs a rest. Hopefully for the new lad, this is an opportunity to grab and we get the see the fruits of his ability.
I'm impressed with the signing just being gently announced, not too much hype or give away.

Football League World has had us getting Shinnie back, Nelson from Cardiff (PW says no), a Boro CH (PW says no), a Pompey CH whose contract runs out in the summer but he's starting every game so they're not going to let us have him and today they've posted we're in for a lad from Villa...

My guess is that we will sign none of them.

I'd say you were right, none of the suggestions (its stretching things to say they were rumours!) of signings have had much credibility, just journo's looking at players available and putting names forward!

As Ramshank says, business done quietly and with no leaks or prior rumours, long may this sensible running of the club continue!!

Football League World and all the other "news outlets" aka clickbait sites won't like this "cards close to the chest" policy.
