Thread: Palmer

    Palmer

Still very young in goalkeeping terms, but what a ‘keeper, shot stopping, command of the area and distribution second to none and that’s on top of his organisation of the players in front of him.
Just goes to show how thick Bruce was to start the non saving Button

Very true, esp the ”thickness” of Bruce.

When I saw him against Arsenal in the cup and let 6 in , I didn't think he would make it.
But unknown to me he had a bad ankle injury and wanted to play.
Now I believe he's a good un, who will only get better

We look much more solid at the back with Palmer rather than Button …looks a good prospect for a long run in the side

Palmer has a stronger mentality plus he's a good keeper. Doing great.

The only downside to his performances is that eventually, if he keeps this form up, some Premier League sides will be eyeing him up.

Sam Johnson is third choice for palace , good move money wise but I bet he has big regrets.
He used to travel home to Preston when he was with us , now he is stuck down south.

Already he has probably added points to our total with some of his displays at key times in matches.
Big addition with him in goal. Confidence seems better at the back now.
    Big plus....👍👍

Together with Griffiths out on loan, we should be well served in the goalkeeping department in the future. That is, of course, as long as we can keep hold of them.

Good point Dubs, he’s definitely contributed towards the points tally.

He seems to have really grown in confidence, dare I say it I can even see shades of Russell Hoult in the way he comes to claim anything and the timing of his closing down and spreading his body shape to block shots, very Schmeichel esque in that department.
