Until I see someone on the pitch in a Leeds shirt I take it all as media click bait.

I fully understand why top players would go to the top 6 clubs. I also understand how good players would pick going to premier league clubs like everton and west ham over Leeds as these clubs have been in the Premiership for quite a while. I even understand going to Newcastle (over Leeds)now that they have excellent financial backing. I cannot understand how Aston Villa have accumulated such a boatload of established talent. Just watching them outplay Spurs. They really do have quite a bit of talent that was poorly used by Gerard. Talent wise we are about on par with Brentford and Brighton (probably slightly better, but only slightly). We shouldn't be as Leeds is a far bigger club than either of them. I am quite confused about this.

Well if your confused what about the players then Cherry ?

Think for a few it's suddenly dawned on them that being an 'all rounder'
(square peg into round holes positions) ain't gonna fit JM's regime vision.

    Presently, teams randomly around us use set play patterns;
Some have a line of colossus defenders in the back four - Brighton.
Some work hard on set -pieces - Wolves under Lopetegui.
Some overload down the wings on breaks - Palace.
Some just break at pace - Brentford.

Problem is WE have slow wing-backs for starters, no balance upfront right now & loose central defending, Defo frightening - get some stalwart square pegs in square holes in Jan & mould the best of what we've got into that framework & all should be good/better sooner rather than later.

JM likes the team to defend in packs often drawing the full backs into gaps our central defenders don't cover - this has to stop & signs were encouraging against Newcastle.

JM systems utilise the full backs to provide the attacking width when we've got the ball but when there's a quick turnaround of possession, jeez frightening, so that needs fixing pronto - hopefully in Jan.

Enjoy your New Years Day mate !

Which team in their right mind wants to sell its best players halfway through a season. Teams with far more money than us are looking for goalscorers and top defenders.
Thhe only way we'll get any quality is paying bloated prices or a good loan signing....

    Wood @ No.9

    Taylor @ LB

Both on loan until seasons end (with or without option to buy)

Not perfect, but a whole load better than what we have at present (and also better than the other names mentioned on this thread so far)

Both refused to play due to impending transfer to the mighty Burnley - doubt it would go down well with the majority but going down to Championship ain't very appealing either !

Time is a great healer (and as you say, so is the prospect of going to (Wood), or staying in (Taylor) the Championship).

it won't happen, our management are displaying the same level of hostility towards "home grown" players (or perhaps who aren't Yanks, coached previously by Marsch, or played for a Red Bull franchisee, all of which are puzzling selection criteria), as they have since Bielsas departure.

Think Taylor is a good shout and still a good player. Not sure about Wood but would probably suit chaos ball 😎
