    2023!

Just in case I die in my sleep tonight i thought I’d post this just to prove I made it into 2023 as the wife was in bed early!

Quite sobering to think that I remember getting my first driving licence in 1979 and seeing the end date on it of 2031.......it might as well have said 3031 at that time, it seemed like a million years away.

I remember that was on my driver license from UK.
    2031.
Had to change it to an Irish one.
    Lasts only ten years.

Mine runs out in two years and I have to reapply. I passed my test in 1973 and still have a clean licence after almost half a century of driving both publicly and professionally.

    1979 to 2031, 52 years!? Please elaborate…

We change ours every 10 years…

Sometimes I’ve had to change even more frequently, due to speeding… 🫣

U.K. licence always states the date of your 70TH birthday.

    Amazing…

We use ours as an ID-card as well, and a photo is then of some importance.

Civil liberties groups make sure we don’t allow ID cards in the U.K. Thomas.

    Pathetic tbh.
