    Blackburn Rovers Post Match Thoughts

Getting up at 4:30am on a cold, wet January morning is not something to relish but when goals like that one fly in after just 33s it makes it all worthwhile. For all their possession and pretty football Blackburn never really threatened and according to TV statistics we scored only our 2nd, 3rd and 4th goals of the season from outside the box. All in all a great performance from everyone that pulled the shirt on today including the two newcomers. Ipswich seems so, so far away.

    Thoughts?

Sky just said ‘Rotherham were rampant in front of goal’ Don't hear that very often! Great performance and hopefully confidence building. Really pleased for MT. Hope that will get the complainers off his back

Great team performance. Looked like we wanted it more.

Good to see us actually shooting more.

Rathy immense in midfield, good starts for Yeldy and Morrison, and really pleased for Wash with the work he put in.

That’s what we want from a Millers side graft, hardwork, effort, getting stuck in.

More of the same and we will be OK.

Nice to see Swales back ❤️

Obviously I mean Morrison. A lot of guts, talent and effort.
It’s not as bad as it looks today.
5 points off relegation and 9 off the playoffs.

    20 points to get

That's the effort we've all been looking for and great team spirit too.

The early goal gave us belief and we just battled the game out. I'm so pleased for the manager and all the back room staff.

It's days like this that make it all worthwhile. Well done to everyone involved today. A special mention for Ollie Rathbone who was playing through the "pain barrier" for a good part of the second half but just like him he never stopped running and battling. And well done to the two new faces that came into the team because they were fantastic and the defence looked pretty strong and tight today. Well done.

What a timely and enjoyable win that was. I was at Milwall and hard to reconsile the the difference between the way the players applied themselves and connected. Completely different teams and this was the team we know and love from recent years.

The new formation seemed to make us more stable at the back and great for once not to have teams playing the ball into loads of space behind full backs and picking us off for fun. But t he surprsing thing was the way that the midfield also got forward and the welcome return of the hard pressing up front that in itself brought about Rathbone's goal. More of the same next week please. Got me ticket before the game so that I couldn't back out (do a Lol, lol)

Morrisson. What an acquisition he could be if he can regain fitness. A pure class player at this level and it showed today but Humphreys looked brilliant also. Pelts and Leo solid also, but had to ride luck a bit in the first half, thank you Viking again for being you!

We've done the Blades a big favour today. Let's hope they can repay us by beating Stoke City because if they do, we'll move up another place in the Championship to 18th.
