    No Decision on German Tanks

Ukraine certainly know who their friends are!! Wouldn’t you have thought with all the atrocities from the Germans against the Jews the most compassion for Ukrainian civilians getting bombed and butchered would be shown by them! Obviously not with weak individuals in their government.

You couldn’t blame the Americans now if they contributed nothing and let Putin get on with it! Germany and France certainly showing their true colours! Equally countries like Poland showing grit and standing up to aggression!

Maybe if many European Countries turn a
blind eye and let Putin get on with it the Russians will greet civilians with Vodka and Russian pastries 🥮. Weakness always gets trampled on by a bully!

Disgraceful dithering by the German government. There are apparently, hundreds of German Leopard 2 tanks in storage across Europe excluding those in German hands; it is surely shortsightedness not to let Ukraine have access to them, they are, after all, doing us all a favour by standing up to Putin.

    Lob sided view Al.
Last time German tanks rolled across Ukraine....it wasn't a good look.
    Especially in UKRAINE.
I understand their position and tanks are heading there perhaps as we speak.

Germany has done a massive service in this war so far. They have taken in millions of refugees and provided finance as well as military product. Besides it's good subterfuge. Let Russia think the free world is divided.
    Will do no harm.

It's been reported now, tanks on the way.....

Poland's prime minister has said his government would ask Germany for permission to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine, and planned to send them whether or not Berlin agreed.

Germany's foreign minister Annalena Baerbock said her government would not block Poland if it were to send its Leopard 2 tanks without German approval.

Playing devils advocate Russia will have the perfect excuse to attack Poland. History shows that aggressors usually blame their victims for being the aggressors.
When Russia invaded Afghanistan the west was sympathetic to the Afghan's.
Saddam Hussein was everyone's friend while he was at war with Iran. The reason the west believed he had WOMD was because they had supplied him with them.
History repeats itself but nobody learns from it.
Far from uniting the world against Putin this will make countries who have no love of the west more sympathetic to him.

Putin does not work on excuses though Des as he does what he wants. Putin is no better than Hitler so do nothing at your peril!

I agree with that. If Putin were to attack Poland, it would be an attack on NATO and on present performances the Russian army would get smashed. It wore a very dangerous escalation, though, but Putin would have to be stupid or desperate to take such action.

Could this be a game changer today as the Germans are not only sanctioning other countries to supply Leopard2 tanks to Ukraine, they are also going to supply a number of these tanks themselves.

The Russian tank crews might find that life is about to become a tad more uncomfortable. Karma.
