Thread: Player wages

    Player wages

So seen this being shared, wouldn’t say it’s 100% accurate but it’s not far off and ties in with what we heard regarding Watt and Harkes

    First thoughts are WOW!

Then after the surprise has passed, it turns to anger that Harkes, Levitt and Watt are earning so much for so little return. Even Sibbald, while my pick for PoTY should be giving more, in his case more time on the pitch!

I believe Sibbald has been affected by long Covid or at least Covid recovery issues which is why we don't often get 90 but that's by the by.

I believe asthma is a factor as well?

As a comparison, Peter Pawlett and others earn in a week what i take home in a month!

Its unbelievable how little we are getting in return for these wages. Makes everything thats wrong with our club seem worse seeing what we are paying for the displays we get served up week in week out.

Yes, not sure which came first though.
Although there's been several top players who have had asthma and you'd never have known.

Not sure about this. The amounts for sibbald and Fletcher in particular don’t seem right given their positions before they joined.

Was obvious Watt has been on big money and that’s why he has been punted out on loan during window

I'm taking that with a bag of salt (a very big bag)

In saying that. If you have any personal pride in your reputation as a player, it really shouldn't matter a fcuk how much you are earning. It should always be about being the best you can be as much as possible (anyone can have an off day) and trying to show the folk who realistically pay your wage (us....the fans) that the strip you walk off the park with will have changed colour slightly even if it ain't raining...
