The game will be destroyed forever.

While writing this I couldn’t help thinking about what Ashley did to our supporters.
The very reason why advertisers are attracted to the 'product' of the EPL and to a lesser extent the other Euro leagues is the passion of the fans, home and away.

EPL clubs with full stadiums translates to excitement on the screen. The Passion of the crowd pushes the players on. Covid was a class example of just how poor the sport is without fans in the stadiums.

I also point to the laughable statements from the La Liga president on this issue. 'EPL is corrupting the game with their transfer overspend'. When in fact even our Championship teams get better attendances than 50% of the teams La Liga. Coupled with the fact the EPL agree to split the TV rights so all teams get wealthier & benefit as a whole we are stronger.

Back when the EPL was conceived similar deals were offered to La Liga & Serie A but Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juve & Milan all laughed in the face of the broadcasters and refused to share their broadcasting rights. This strangled the leagues financially ensuring only 2 or 3 clubs had all the money whilst the rest fell further and further back.

They made their bed now they are laying it it! Now they are pushing for a European Super League so they can control the finances of the English teams and dictate to the rest of Europe's football teams.

It's hilarious. They have bankrupted their clubs built garbage business models and now they want to take control over all super successful clubs & leagues to milk them dry.

Like letting an alcoholic run the brewary!

So insulting! F ALL OF THEM
