Ok , having though about this and got over the shock…

From memory he did well at St Mirren and after the s.hitshow at sheeps.hagging bstrd FC he will be determined to get this right. Plus it has to be an improvement on the scenarios under Fox. So I’ll be there supporting my team on Saturday.

I hope in future when the United job becomes available we never mention Levein or entertain notion of him coming back to Tannadice .

He's turned us down in our hour of need , obviously he doesn't feel enough love for our club or our fans so he can just do one now .

No chance David Martindale is coming to Dundee United. And Owen Coyle very unlikely to swap guaranteed Premiership football for a stint in the Championship with us.

I think the list of seriois candidates realistically available to us would have been quite slim based on the timing and our league position.

So he's the only option then? I hardly think so. Money talks and neither Coyle nor Martindale will be on a fortune at their respective clubs I wouldn't think. Its a shortsighted appointment and one that just makes us an even bigger embarrassment in my opinion. A defeat on Saturday night and he'll lose the support immediately

Well that’s it on the ‘fishul now. You do wonder if Sir C of L was ever coming here to be manager as the appointment of Goodwin has happened pretty quick. In hindsight, I suspect Sir Craig was being offered the ‘Sporting Director’ role with Goodwin always being in the dugout…………

Fkn Jim fkn Goodwin........well at least he kens how 5HITE the Sheepies are so that's a start for Saturday.

Underwhelmed as fk though. His recent record at the Sheepies is absolutely horrific(1 win in 10)so I don't in all honestly get why he was even interviewed?

Well if Goodwin comes he will know how to knock some of our players into shape.

In the same way he knocked the Aberdeen players into shape after their worst ever defeat??!! Remind me the score in their first game after Darvel?

I'll get behind the team as per usual on Saturday night but I just don't get this appointment at all. Everything that was wrong with his Aberdeen team is exactly what's wrong with us. No fight, no organisation, no pride.

I really hope I'm wrong but the evidence doesn't support Goodwin getting any more out of these players than Fox did.
