    Lascelles

The blokes took some stick from a section of our supporters, sometimes justified, but can we have some support for him after his display yesterday, he had a great game against the premier leagues top striker, imo. I can imagine the comments if it had been him and not Trippier that led to their goal. Not having a go at Trippier btw, just saying, the blokes hardly played this season but has supported the team, starts a full game against the champions and is outstanding,we’ll done Jammall.

    Good thread.

Yes, he performed very well and, when you consider how little he's played, that's huge credit to him.

He's always been a strong influence on the team and a good ambassador for the club. A good game against Man City doesn't suddenly mean he's got the ability to take us forward, for that he's too inconsistent and generally not good enough, but I agree with you; he deserves a lot of credit for his performance yesterday and for his impact on the squad morally etc.

Jammall has been of great character during the takeover, and has been supportive and not been sooking on the bench. Well done mate!

Aye they were, which is why seven of them (who played that day) don't start in league games.

If Schars recovered from the head injury, will he come straight back into the team, or Eddie stick with our captain? Lascelles didn’t let us down, the opposite in fact, so using Eddie’s philosophy he should really retain his place, shouldn’t he? If he doesn’t, I wouldn’t blame him for knocking on the managers door like. Wilson’s been crapp for months but retained his place?
