    Howe on Isak

He's not yet ready to play a full 90 minutes consistently.

That thigh injury was a lot more serious than it seemed at first. I don't think we'll see him firing on all cylinders-and, therefore, a direct replacement for Wilson, until the last handful of games this season.

Howe says he's able to have 'different' conversations with Wilson, given the relationship he has with him so I wonder if he's thinking about starting with Isak then replacing him with Wilson when he's knackered.

Personally, that's what I'd like to see but I also trust Howe's judgement (which is not to say that I don't think he's possibly a little too loyal to Wilson. Dunno, maybe it's nowt to do with loyalty and simply down to the fitness issue.)

At 31, we're definitely past the peak of Wilson's career and I think we need to spend big on a striker in the Summer (and grass is green, I know, I know )

I think he's being to loyal to Wilson personally but I hope that he's also planning to use Isaak then bring Wilson on. . . hopefully when Isaak has scored a hat-trick.

The releationship he has has with Wilson will hopefully allow this without it being an issue.

Not promising news for tomorrow Wilson is totally out of form yet when Isak comes on our attack becomes much better he has to start tomorrow same for Targett and the Saint lets go attacking Gordon and the Saint on the wings with Isak up front.

Yes, I'd like to see us get at them right from the off. Much as I'd swap Gordon for Miggy and start with ASM, Isak and Targett, too, Eddie won't want to make so many changes.

He talked this week abiout staying strong because he kniows we'll turn it round which suggests sticking with the players who did so well in the first half of the season.

We do definitely need another top striker, whether for back up at present or to take Wilson's place and Wiilson to finish his days as a back up striker.
