Or were you questioning why I watch daytime quiz shows?

I haven't watched MOTD for about 10 years, so I'll boycott it. But I can understand the BBC stance as it's akin to having an employee bringing them into disrepute as he is a BBC mouth regardless of making the comments on a personal social media. When you are paid the vast salary that GL is, then he has to be judicious or neutral in his comments as I'm sure he has clauses in his contract to suggest he think first, speaks later.

He has the right to express his own opinion, but if that opinion conflicts with his contract (and I've no idea if it does, but most public figures have some sort of gag/restraint) then he does so at his own risk

Agreeing with that (assuming the contract bit)

I've not deliberately watched MOTD since 2002

Agreed re both Scott and Guha and I'll add Denise Lewis into the good category. No clue about the gameshows but don't like "Scott on Sports"

Personally I disagree, I think Alex Scott and Laura Woods are a breath of fresh air, but accept its about opinions.

As for my eveidence, have a look at contracts about bringing a service into disrepute and causing harm/embarressment to that service.
I deinitely had that very clause in my contract whilst seconded to to an HMP

You are ex Education, I'll wager my goldfish you had one in there.
His opinion on migrants went beyond an opinion.
Yet again you seek to change the ground rules having said something you can’t defend. You quoted the BBC and Clarkson and Cleese and then, when challenged, accuse me of ‘thinking too much about BBC only’. Even Clarkson himself apologised for his GoT comment...it was ridiculous, totally offensive and absolutely nothing to do with the BBC.

You referred to employees of certain services being ‘sacked on the spot’ and that’s not true either is it?

How has Lineker caused ‘embarrassment’/ ‘harm’ by his comments? If you want an example of that you might be better looking at Attenborough’s final episode of ‘Wild Isles’ being cancelled because, allegedly, it might accept the Right.

You obviously don't know bugger all about employment contracts and business models protecting their interests.
If I paid someone £1.25 m a year who kept breeching COD of said company, then I'd react as well.

It seems your reply is more about the sympathy of the comment, than about the breech of conduct.
    Says it all really,

Tosh, I can and have seen an employee of HMP post a racist joke on social media.
    No hearing, no nothing. Gone.
you must have lived in a bubble mate

So to try to lighten the mood:

Who do you think WILL do MOTD?

    Who would you LIKE to?

    Me? Will, Mark Chapman

Like to, Orla Chennaoui or the dream team Mark Chapman, Osi Omenyioura and Jason Bell. Seriously, Orla would make a cracking figurehead and she picks up new sports super-fast
