    I suppose most managers are aware of just how trigger happy some owners can be but by no means does the power they hold make the decisions right even if it is their prerogative. Potter will no doubt get a substantial payout but I wish him well.

    Brighton seems to be a very well run club, he should never have left, although he would, no doubt, have been paid a lot more. I’ve just read that he won’t have the full length of his contract paid up! I hope that he finds a good club to work for next. Football must be the craziest ‘business’ on the planet.

    Especially with the limited funds available to him
